I Was Broken Twice, But I Survived 2

By Abel Udoekene

I’m so sorry the continuation of my story is coming after 3 months, it wasn’t intentional, I guess maybe I was shy or just not ready for this part.

“Life is truly colourful when you have people that believe in you.”
That was one of my Father’s favorite lines and he will add “If you believe in yourself too, life become easy and fun”

Like I told you in the first part, my father was a painter, he live most of his life beautifying people’s houses and adding colour to their life.
He wasn’t afraid of the truth and he was always ready to show me the “rod” each time I stumbled and fall. He didn’t spare me, he will beat me, he will talk to me, he will deny me some privileges. Those days, I thought he hated me, but as I grew up I discovered he love me more than his own life, but my only regret is that I didn’t tell him “Thank you” for teaching me to live a better life.

One thing that I learn from him, that kept me standing after each difficult situation is “his ability to always accept responsibility for anything that happen to him”

He would say” Abel, Your first responsibility as a man is to be responsible, understand responsibility and take responsibility”

That has been like a guiding principle to me. I know I’m not perfect and I don’t claim to be one but I try my best to live a decent life.
“is there anything like a decent life?”
I don’t know, I think you will find out as we progress or some times very soon.

The story of my love life is as old as the story of my life. Sometimes ago, I tried to define a line with my Nephew (Akwaowo Otu), we were working to discover the story behind each tears that falls from our eyes, because we believe that each tears has its own unique story to tell, they don’t just fall, they maybe passing a coded messages to us. And just maybe if we listen closely and pay attention to them, our World will be better.

Akwaowo would asked “Abel, if your tears could speak, what would it say?” sometimes we tried to imagine it, sometimes we tried to explain it, sometimes we tried to let them fall into our hands and we will attempt to have a discussion with them, it’s was tasking, but we learn a lot during that process.
Tears do speak, that I can tell you from experience.

As we progress, we attempt to  develop the beautiful hearts family, we were aiming to discover more about how we could help ourselves and also help others grow in their love lives.

It was a massive success because at least, the ideas we shared together has help me and also help others in coming out of difficult situations  in life.

I’m planning on simplifying my love story but I’ve a duty to explain in details the things and the process that has build me  to stand up each time I fall, I guess you deserve to know.

I  promise I won’t be long this time, we will continue soon.
