Top 10 Success Rules Which Will Help You Build A Successful Life

This guide from Michael Malcolm Walker, who is a Trade and investment manager At Sydney, Australia and as well as a published author of  many books about success and business. He is a Trendiee contributor.

So here are his 10 top success rules.

1. Believe in yourself

How many times have you heard this buzzword people are always saying “believe in yourself?”

It is not easy to believe in yourself some times.

What is believe? Believe is when you have confident that whatever you are doing, you can make it. I will give you an example, If you are in an emergency room where operation is going on, two doctors stand right there.

One of the doctor has been conducting operation for the last 10 years but the second one is new to to it, tell me, who is more confident?  It is obviously the first one who has 10 years experience, because he has been it doing consistently for the last 10 years.

So the believe depends on your practice and experience.  It’s not something you get when read in a book or watch a in motivational video.

Books and motivational videos will give you believe but it’s temporary and it will not work for the long race.

Try to learn a skill. Whatever skill that is required to achieve your goals. Practice and work hard. It will give you immense confident that will stick with you for a long time.

2. Work on a daily basis

I see lots of people who want to achieve everything but they don’t want to work on it.

What do you think about success? Do you feel that you can stay idle and dream that you will one day start coding and you will become the world’s best coder or you will run one day and become the best runner?

No, it can’t be true and it will never happen! You have to work hard every day to achieve your goal.

One thing which I want to confess is that  “there’s no shortcut to success, you have to work hard.”

Any genuinely successful person in the world who achieved success, didn’t achieve success in a single day.

If you constantly work on it you will achieve it one day. Not immediately but definitely.

3. There’s no place for your excuses

Generally, human being has an habit of giving excuses, just ask anyone, anywhere who didn’t achieve his or her goals. They have lots of excuses like: my family didn’t support me, my family condition is not better, I have no money, I have no parent, I am young or old.

One important thing that you have to keep in mind is that “we never give excuses to others, we give excuses ourselves.”

Seriously, people out there don’t listen to your excuses. People wants to see results not your excuses.

So whatever stage you are right now, just stop giving excuses! Work on it. Break the task down to tiny particles and work on them one at a time.

4. Stop Procrastination

You can’t deny this disease which we all have. It is somehow present in all of us, it is almost human nature to procrastinate.

But for those people who have achieved anything in this world, they broke this disease!  Recently, a research shows that procrastination is the reason why 80% of people are unable to make any achievement in their pursuits.

Today I am,   saying to you,  if you want to achieve anything, make sure you break this thing called procrastination.

5. You have to go out of the box

Yes! You heard right, if you want to achieve anything, “go out of the box.”

It is very bad to believe or follow without thinking or using your brain. Society and the people around may create a dream and path for you but you have to figure out what you want.

You have to find your own way. Your own path.  Successful people go outside the box. .They don’t follow same rules society made for them, they create theirs.

6. Madness is needed

Any person who has done amazing work in his or her field, achieved that with “madness.” Their ideas will always sound crazy and mad.

So don’t become too serious, make yourself open to any ideas.

7. Don’t be afraid of mistakes

Who makes a mistake? Only those who try something! Those people who don’t try anything, can’t make any mistake.

Since childhood, our parents and the society told us “don’t make a mistake” and “don’t do such a thing.” If you make a mistake that might create a bade image in the society or people around you.

But I think that whatever I am today,  the mistakes I made helped drive me. Mistake is a proof that we are trying.

However, if you don’t learn anything from your mistakes, it is bad.

Whatever mistake you make,  just learn why you failed, what thing you need to make it successful.  Then just go on,  work on that thing which you learned from your mistakes.

8. Dream big

We all have a dream: some are big dreams, some are small dreams. But what I want to recommend to you, is to think big or dream big.

It doesn’t matter who you are and where you belong. Whether you are considered a lower middle class or poor class, it really doesn’t matter.

What matters is your dream and your thought process.

A great dream that push you to your potential. A small dream can limit your potential.

9. Choices makes you

Everyone has a choice to make. It could be a choice to become a lawyer, entrepreneur, doctor, actor, etc.

After making a choice next step is to work on it.  Make sure to make a great choice which helps you to lead a successful path.

Because at the end of the day, your choice will make you.

10. Everything is possible

Whatever your goals and dreams are, I can say to you that everything is possible.

But you need to consistently work on it.

Whatever dream you have, someone has already achieved it. If they can do, you also can do.

Always tell yourself that you will make it,  maybe not immediately but definitely.
