To The Person Who is Looking for Love

By Abel Udoekene,

I know you are out there starring and looking for someone who will love and accept you just the way you are.

I know you are a good person and you are ready to give in your best to make your relationship works.
I know you are shy just like me to say the first hello maybe because of your past hurts.

I know you are afraid of heart breaks, failure and rejection.
I know you are still having that old thought that women wants money while Men Want want sex.
I know you have so many things going on in your mind right now.

Please pause, let me share a lesson, a thought and a reflection.

I used to be afraid of failure but not anymore, I have failed many time so I’m not afraid to fail.
I used to be afraid of heartbreak but I’ve been broken twice, perhaps i have learn my lessons.
I used to be afraid of rejection but not anymore, at least rejections has helped me to keep developing myself.

I want you to imagine our first meeting , just imagine.
I’m sitting at the babers shop at Brooklyn Street, then you appear out of nowhere and I approach you and say hello, will you give me your contacts? Will you accept me to be your friend? Just imagine.

I want you to imagine our first date, when you told me that you love me and smile at every sentence I make even when they were not funny and we thought that we had the chemistry. Do you still remember? Just imagine.

I want you to imagine our first kiss, our first dance, just when I was about dropping you off after our first date, you grabbed me and kiss me unexpectedly, can you still remember? Just imagine..

I’m afraid you worry too much about what people will say.
I’m afraid you are afraid if I will break your heart,
Are you coming just for sex or money? I can hear you question me in my dreams. Should I answer you or not? Just breathe and trust me for once.

Hear me now:
I’m the love you seek but so afraid to accept,
I’m the companion you need, but not willing to embrace.
I’m your light, your truth, your happiness and everything you need from Love.
Just imagine, have you found me? Have you found love? Have you?
