Eden Hazard has told Manchester United and Jose Mourinho that they have ‘no chance’ of signing him from Chelsea. The Belgium international will still have two years left on his contract this summer but Chelsea are keen to tie the 27-year-old down to a new long-term deal.
Manchester United and Manchester City have both been linked with a move for Hazard, while the Belgian also remains on Real Madrid’s radar. But when asked about the prospect of leaving Stamford Bridge during a video with A Star Barbers, Hazard emphatically ruled out a switch to Old Trafford. Hazard read aloud a comment from a fan who urged him to join United but Hazard replied with a laugh: ‘No chance.’
Chelsea, meanwhile, remain in the race for a top-four spot after a 1-0 victory over Liverpool on Sunday. And Hazard, who impressed for Chelsea at Stamford Bridge, believes his side still have a chance of overtaking Tottenham and Liverpool. ‘Beating Liverpool was a massive result,’ Hazard told Chelsea TV.
‘Now the target is just to win and be in the top four at the end of the season, and if we play like this the last three games, we can have something special at the end of the season. ‘Let’s hope for something big. ‘We all work together and when we play this kind of game, it is a good feeling after the game.’
