Manchester United fans are concerned ahead of the new season after a video emerged of Alexis Sanchez, Fred and several other first-team players showing a startling lack of effort in training. Jose Mourinho has already bemoaned the lack of first-team players he has at his disposal during United’s pre-season tour of the United States, either through injury or participation at the World Cup.
But ahead of their friendly against Real Madrid in the early hours of Wednesday morning, United’s first-team regulars showed no indication that they are up for the match against the Champions League holders.
At the start of their training session in Miami on Monday, United’s squad were split into two groups and began to warm up with a rondo where players passed the ball in a circle while two others in the middle attempted to intercept. United’s senior players, including £52 million summer signing Fred, Sanchez and Juan Mata were in one group, but their effort was minimal and passes were frequently intercepted or went astray.

United fans were quick to raise their concern after watching the clip and slammed Mourinho’s players for their lack of effort.

This can’t be real. Where is intensity? Waste of time. Train properly or go home.
