Liverpool forward Mohamed Salah broke another club record after his stunning goal put the Reds 1-0 up against Roma at Anfield on Tuesday night. Jurgen Klopp’s men started slowly against the Serie A giants but could have been 3-0 up after half an hour when Sadio Mane squandered a number of chances.
However, Salah gave his side a deserved lead after 35 minutes when he curled in an exquisite effort into the far corner. The goal means he’s the first Liverpool player to score nine goals in a single Champions League campaign.

And it didn’t take the Egyptian long to get his tenth of the campaign when he raced in on goal and chipped one over the onrushing Alisson to put Liverpool in full command of the tie.
Liverpool’s start was blighted by a horrific injury to Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain. The midfielder’s World Cup hopes look in jeopardy after he was stretchered off with a suspected knee injury. The 24-year-old appeared to catch his heels in the turf as he made a tackle and he is certainly ruled out of Saturday’s game against Stoke
