You can’t expect your computer to do multitasking if you are using a 2GB RAM. At least go for 8GB.
RAM will not increase you speed but will allow you to handle large applications/games more effectively. Spending few bucks on a new RAM is never wasted. DDR5 RAM’s have the best speeds. spme best RAM available are…
- Corsair Vengeance LPX 16GB DDR4
- HyperX Fury Black 4GB DDR4
- Corsair Vengeance LPX 16GB DDR4
Run a Virus/malware scan

Use SSD instead of HDD
if you are using HDD processes like coping/moving files, saving, rendering, loading will take much longer. SSD will take up less space compare to HDD which will increase space and provide a good airflow to the cpu. Be carefull while installing SSD in your system.
some of the best SSD’s in the market are:
Avoid Thermal throttling
Sometimes your CPU reduces it’s clock speed in order to maintain heat generated, this is known as Thermal throttling. It can also degrade your CPU hardware if proper measures not taken.
Get a bigger case and add an additional fan to reduce heat. Use thermal paste as well. Maintain a good airflow and keep your CPU in a well ventilated area.
You can invest in AIO because the normal fan is not capable of handling the CPU or GPU in extreme conditions like while gaming.
Use alternate apps that requires less RAM
There are softwares that consumes massive amount of memory like CHROME and video editing softwares but there are other browsers you can use instead of it.
Use lite softwares and mainly avoid using memory consuming apps like social media apps, IDE’s, 3D rendering applications if you have low RAM.
Kill those unwanted startup processes
Do this first !!! Sometime we ignore these startup notifications and programs that leads to slow starting of your computer.
To do this…..
Open task manager>start up >right click the process>Disable. And only disable programs that you don’t want. You can enable them when you want.
Remove unnecessary Background programs
Always close those programs that runs in your background that are not in use right now. If you are currently using photoshop or any video editing softwares then closing all other programs will improve your speed. Don’t close programs with system, systray, service in their name and never close explorer.exe
Change performance settings
Computer animations and unwanted graphic settings slows the computer but if you are ready to give it up for a extra bit of speed then you should do it by…
Right click My computer>properties>advanced system setting>choose for best performance
Defragment your disk
Defragmenting you disk will speed up the process of accessing files on your computer by putting them together. This will speed up your opening and closing of applications.
Click start and search defragment>select defragment and optimize drives>select a disk>click optimize>wait a while>done.
Disable auto updates for all your softwares
