Every great achievement was once a little plan

Few months ago i met a friend of mine cooking  maize, i collected five pairs from her which i planted in five places. Three months later they germinated and bore fruit but before the fruit came into  reality they went through some processes which i will be sharing with you today.

Every morning for the past three month i watered my plants. Down the line they started sprouting out until a day came one plant died off leaving me with four.  When it was time  for harvest  they never gave me the same amount of maize 3, 2, 3, 1 respectively.

My experience shared above is one of the key principles of success (What you sow, you reap), one of my quote says “what you don’t invest you can’t harvest”. I never planted maize and expected plantain, it took me time before i could get  a tangible result.

Many sow seeds in their businesses, careers and academics but are in a hurry to reap the fruit. Some planted maize and are waiting  desperately to harvest water melon, they plant their seed  without watering, weeding or taking good care of it.

It takes 5 years for a bamboo tree to get harvested while it takes 3 month for a maize to be harvested. Your life can be that of the maize and mine the bamboo but we have one thing  in common. For  us to get to the pinnacle of our greatness we must keep watering our plant.  Don’t envy the maize if your life is that of a bamboo. In three months time the maize is harvested and sowed at a lesser price compared to that of the bamboo, 5 years the bamboo gets harvested, its more expensive and taller compared to that of the maize.

A maize plant gave me 3 cob while another plant gave me 1 cob, there was nothing the maize with 1 cob could do, it was destined that way. Never leave your journey to follow someone else journey because of the things you see, you are not the same, your times are different, be yourself. Every great achievement was once a little plan.

For a plant to grow it needs water, sun and soil, you have to be consistent, learn, unlearn and relearn..

For a seed to bear fruit these must be put into consideration, the  Seed, Environment and Soil. You can’t plant a boiled maize because it wouldn’t grow neither can you plant rice in a drought area. What seed are you carrying, is your environment conducive for your success. A proverb says “Two birds can’t collide in the air because there is a lot of space”. Find your space and make good use of it, no matter how small you start you will make it. Be consistent in whatever you do and you will succeed in no time
