A 27 year-old virgin threatened to kill ‘as many girls as I see’ because women kept turning him down, according to police.
Christopher Cleary, 27, was arrested in Provo, Utah on Saturday after reportedly posting the violent warning on Facebook. ‘All I wanted was a girlfriend, not 1000 not a bunch of hoes not money none of that. All I wanted was to be loved, yet no one cares about me,’ the post began.
‘I’m 27 years old and I’ve never had a girlfriend before and I’m still a virgin, this is why I’m planning on shooting up a public place soon and being the next mass shooter cause I’m ready to die and all the girls the (sic) turned me down is going to make it right by killing as many girls as I see.’
He also wrote: ‘There is nothing more dangerous than a man ready to die,’ according to arrest records, ABC News reported.
Police in Colorado, where Clearly is from, alerted authorities in Utah who tracked Cleary’s phone and found him at a McDonald’s restaurant in Provo.
He was arrested by an FBI agent accompanied by police, who expressed increased concern over the threats because there were several women’s marches taking place across Utah on Saturday. The FBI joined the investigation once it was determined that Cleary’s statements were ‘threats of terrorism,’ police said.
He has been charged with third-degree felony terrorism as well as violating probation for a previous conviction of felony stalking. ‘The probation office contacted me and let me know that this is a pattern of behavior with Cleary where he is on probation for felony stalking and threatening of women,’ said the probable cause statement from Utah County.
