Chelsea Striker and former Arsenal star Olivier Giroud has send a touching tribute to Arsenal boss, Arsene Wenger.
Wenger signed off his final home game as Arsenal boss with a 5-0 victory over Burnley on Sunday and gave a farewell speech to fans after the match. Giroud, meanwhile, scored the winner as Chelsea kept their top-four hopes alive with a 1-0 victory over Liverpool at Stamford Bridge.
The France international won three FA Cup trophies during his six years under Wenger at Arsenal, and the striker sent a message to his former manager after Chelsea’s win on Sunday. ‘Arsene Wenger deserves a great tribute for all he has achieved in his Arsenal career,’ Giroud told Sky Sports.
‘I hope he finds a new challenge too, because I know he is still hungry to win competitions.
‘I just want to pay tribute to him.’
