A man has been jailed for 17 years after a series of horrific rapes on a six-year-old boy

A man identify as John Bell has been jailed for 17 years after a series of horrific rapes attack on a six-year-old boy.

The man who knew his victim had already been raped by another paedophile targeted the the young child to have a taste of him.

In one rape Bell, 30, told the boy to ‘bite a pillow’ because he was in such pain, Metro UK reports.

He used sweets and a motorbike ride to bribe the boy in a bid to keep him quiet about what was happening to him.

He was found guilty of six offences of rape at Newcastle Crown Court where the victim had to give evidence.

The schoolboy, who was neglected by his mother and had no contact with his father, told the court he was ‘scared and shocked’ by what happened to him.

He no longer wants to play with other children, damages his clothes and rips up his own clothes as a reaction to what happened.

Judge Edward Bindloss jailed Bell, of Hallow Drive, Throckley, Newcastle, for 17 years and said he must sign the sex offenders register and abide by a sexual harm prevention order for life.

The judge said Bell posed a ‘high risk’ of committing further sexual offences and added: ‘You groomed him, acting for your own sexual gratification. ‘Judge Bindloss said Bell knew the boy was vulnerable and told him; ‘You knew he had been raped by another man. You went on to rape this boy, knowing he had been abused before.

‘That is a significant aggravating factor that adds to your culpability. The psychological effect of what has happened to him at your hands is likely to be very harmful for a very long time. ‘

The court heard the young victim is receiving counselling to try and cope with the experiences he has suffered.

Paul Currer, defending, said Bell, who has been remanded in custody, continues to deny the offences, despite the jury’s verdicts.

Mr Currer said Bell had a difficult upbringing and has had problems with alcohol . He added: ‘He has not been to custody before, it has already had a drastic effect on him.

‘He knows the sentence must be a long one, he accepts that.’
